Meet Our Spiritual Retreat Leaders
Our team of experienced elders at Ayedun Retreats LLC is dedicated to guiding initiated priestesses of Ifa in their sacred journey with the Orisa Osun.
Chief Iyanifa Sangokolade Ifawunmi

My full spiritual name is Chief Iyanifa Sangokolade Ifawunmi Osunseun Egbefunke Osunkemi Epega Adesanya Awoyade Akanbi, the Otun Yeye Ajikefa of Ode Remo, the Otun Iyanifa of Kenta, Yeye Meto of Atunfato Temple. Iya JuJu. Most know me as Chief Kolade. I was born Felicia Daika Johnson, omo Alberta, in the mountainous valleys of Cheyenne, Wyoming, currently living and loving in Houston, TX.
I am a culture worker, a writer, an herbalist and owner of the Juju Shop, a ritual space in the historical Third Ward, Texas. In 2005, I was initiated to Sango by Oluwo Afolabi Epega, and received my Ifa initiation from Chief Solagbade Oluwoifatosin in Akure, Ondo State in 2007. I was initiated to Osun and Egbe in 2018 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
I study the Ifa tradition through the eyes of an indigenous person, a Native African-American. My family is traditionally Christian and spiritual wisdom was passed down from both lineages. My personal philosophy is one based in spiritual freedom. There is freedom that comes from knowing oneself and understanding the connectivity of the universe. There is power that is gained through knowing the history of our people and incorporating the ase of the ancestors into our lives. There is peace in understanding that we are one with the universe. These are the keys to personal transformation.

Trust, respect, and joy are at the heart of who I am. I dedicate myself to experiencing and sharing spiritual growth that is powerful and heart-lifting. I am a priestess, initiated in Osogbo, Osun state Nigeria. I am initiated into Ifa, Osun, Obatala and Egbe with 19 years of deep-rooted experience in Yoruba spiritual traditions.
As a Foundation Black American (FBA), my hoodoo training comes from my bloodline, tracing back 6 generations of Louisiana hoodoo traditions. Raised with an abundance of spiritual richness, I am dedicated to guiding others through the sacred wisdom of FBA Hoodoo and Ifa, blending both traditions, which speaks to today's spiritual seekers.
Through divinations, spiritual counseling, teachings and ritual practice, I help individuals reconnect with their purpose, heal ancestral wounds, and walk in alignment with their destiny while maintaining good character.
Okìkìfá Ẹ̀gbéyemí Òṣùnfímihà

My spiritual name is Okìkìfá Ẹ̀gbéyemí Òṣùnfímihàn Fáwùnmí Akànbí, though I was born Symphone’e—like the orchestra, with a bit of flair. I’m from Hartford, CT, and have lived in New Hampshire, Florida, Italy, Houston, and now, back home in the DC-MD area.
I walk many paths: mother, wife, spiritual worker, healer, people executive, coach, and investor. Above all, I’m a soul in motion—always becoming who I came here to be.
Though both sides of my family carry Hoodoo roots, I wasn’t raised in those traditions. Spirit found me early through dreams, and in seeking answers, I found Ifá.
That search led me to my godparent, Chief Ìyánífá Sàngókóládé Ifáwùnmí, and to my spiritual home, Ilé Alájé. Since then, I’ve been reclaiming tools, rituals, and wisdom that feel both ancient and familiar.
I’ve walked with Ifá for nearly nine years as an àbọ̀rìṣà, and in March 2024, I was initiated into Ifá, Ègbé, and Òṣun in Abẹ́òkúta, Ògùn State. While my path is unique, it echoes many journeys of remembrance and return.
Ayedun Retreats is born from that spirit: a space to learn, connect, and rise—with nature, with spirit, and with self. I look forward to holding space with those who feel called.
